Darren Erb Trucking Owner Appreciates the Reliability of Cleveland Brothers

When Darren Erb found himself states away from home with a bad turbo in his 1995 Peterbilt, he turned to the reliability of Cleveland Brothers to get him the parts needed to get back on the road.
Erb was at the end of a two-week stretch in the midwest for his trucking business, Darren Erb Trucking, which specializes in hauling aluminum and precious metals, when his truck’s turbo went out. He stopped at a local truck garage near Portage, Ind., and was told that a new turbo wouldn’t arrive to the shop until three or four days later.
“Needless to say, I wasn’t waiting around,” Erb said. He put in a call to Sarah Ewing at Cleveland Brothers’ New Stanton location, and a turbo was located at the Harrisburg/Manada Hill location. “Both Sarah and Don [Kauffmann] at Cleveland Brothers were so nice and understood that I was out for two weeks on the road and ready to get back to my shop in Myerstown, Pa.”
After purchasing the parts needed from Don at Harrisburg/Manada Hill, where his motor was originally rebuilt, Erb set up his driver to retrieve the parts and, “he drove through the night 700 miles to get me the hot parts that I needed to breathe life into my sickly motor,” Erb said.
Once his driver arrived, both went to the shop where Erb’s truck was waiting to be fixed. “They were shocked that I found one [a turbo] in 24 hours and I said that Cleveland Brothers is my motor shop of choice and I owe it all to them. They go out of their way during and after hours to make sure that, if there is a problem with my truck motor, they point me in the right direction to get me back on the road,” Erb said.
