Description: Job Duties: In accordance with management directives this position, tracks mobile and/or stationary assets in the field, gathers electronic machine operation data through Product Link/Vision Link and Other GPS telematics, in order to identify vital repair events, maintenance opportunities and component replacement needs. This position communicates with Customer base, Sales Force, and Service Operations personnel regarding application and repair recommendations that help lower owning and operating costs, improve availability and reduce warranty costs. Additionally, provides assistance with electronic data, fluids analysis results, machine inspection reports and equipment repair history.

Essential Functions:
This position mandates that the employee be able to perform all of the following functions:
o Use PRODUCT LINK / VISION LINK, Trimble or Other GPS technologies to gather machine data and track assets;
o Analyze and assemble machine CONDITION MONITORING data for use in internal and external reporting;
o Research computer and literature based machine information to analyze machine electronic data to determine preventative and predictive maintenance recommendations;
o Substitute for other positions in the department as needed;
o … And other functions as assigned by necessity.

Summary of Duties
This position may perform any combination of the following duties: track, monitor and analyze Product Link / Vision Link, Trimble or Other data for use in mobile and/or stationary equipment fleet management; use and maintain an electronic database or software application to evaluate and assemble vital information for distribution to Customer base, Sales Department or Service Operations personnel across multiple divisions; review CSA Coordinator machine health inspection report results, finalize the CONDITION MONITORING / MACHINE HEALTH information into a formal report, record recommendations given for auditing purposes, take follow-up actions with internal and external contacts as necessary; attend seminars and training as approved by management; operate computers, office equipment and perform other office related duties as required.

Knowledge and Skills Required
Comprehensive understanding of the practices, programs, policies and procedures of Cleveland Brothers and Caterpillar relating to all aspects of product support; thorough knowledge of mobile heavy equipment and various other equipment used in earth moving, rental, and industrial, applications. Understanding of operating risk associated with varying customer applications, maintenance products and industry demands.

Must be computer literate in DBSi, Caterpillar software suites and Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheet, word processing and databases in a Windows based environment. Experience with MS Access or other database software is a plus, but not required. Will possess the ability to use complex computerized spreadsheets and database files. Will possess excellent analytical, problem solving, and administrative skills. Ability to prioritize duties, work independently and carry out assignments of varying complexity and time schedule deadlines as well as considerable abilities in researching and analyzing machine history and repair data. The incumbent must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements: Three years of progressive experience focusing on maintenance, repairs, service operations and an understanding of product support sales concepts, or an equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable to the Company.
