Cleveland Brothers Exclusively Powers DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon
The city gathered and crowds roared in the streets of Pittsburgh, Pa., on Sunday, May 6, 2018. As the sun began to rise, a massive group of 37,000 runners joined at the start line in preparation for the 10th annual DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon.
With more than 200,000 runners and spectators in attendance, the non-profit organization Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon Inc. (P3R) hosting the marathon worked all year to ensure this event flowed seamlessly. When planning an event of such magnitude, reliable vendors of all sorts are needed. Whether they provided bananas for the runners, medical supplies for the emergency tent, or just their time and services, the vendors all played an instrumental role.
After 8 years of vendor sponsorship, Cleveland Brothers continues to be the exclusive power provider for the marathon. With more than a dozen portable generators and a set of 80’ articulating boom lifts, the stages, medical tent, sound systems, mixing boards and public address systems had all the power they needed and were ready for the day.
Some of the equipment on-site for the weekend included 12 ton A/C units, several 20kw and 30kw generators, a 2646E scissor lift, a light tower and even a massive 150kw generator with 460 volt. Together, Cleveland Brothers joined the staff and sponsors to make the city thrive with energy as runners reached the finish line.
