Freightliner Glider Kit Throughout the years, the Cleveland Brothers truck service team has worked on some pretty awesome big rigs. From repair and preventive maintenance to overhauls and glider kits, our team has faced jobs of all shapes, sizes and customizations. Because of our experience, we are proud to be your total solutions service provider and are here to create the truck of your dreams.

That being said, some of our best custom work has happened during the assembly of glider kits. Does that sound intriguing? Keep reading to learn more about the glider kit process and how we can build you the turnkey truck you’ve always wanted.

So, how does a glider kit turn into a truck ready to hit the road? It happens in five steps:

1. Choose your chassis

Starting with the backbone of your truck, you’ll get to choose from big names you know and trust such as Peterbilt, Freightliner, Kenworth and Western Star.

2. Pick your powerplant

Select one of our affordable in-stock rebuilt powerplants or a Cat® Reman Engine. Looking for something a little more custom? We can also build you an engine from the block up according to your preference.

3. Select an automatic or manual transmission

Depending on the distances, loads and terrain you deal with, you’ll want to choose the right Eaton or Allison transmission mated to a custom driveshaft.

4. Choose your accessories

Select the features and accessories you want from a long list, including larger turbo back exhaust and your choice of stainless steel, polished aluminum or painted tubing.

5. Assembly

Our technicians have the training, experience and tools needed to perform a complete and reliable build of your on-highway truck to meet your expectations.
