Cleveland Brothers Celebrates 100th Engine Rebuild at Engine Rebuild Center
In 2020, Cleveland Brothers opened a dedicated Engine Rebuild Center (ERC) specifically to serve the gas compression market. The ERC, located in Ebensburg, Pa., specializes in the rebuilds and repairs of Cat® G3500 and G3600 engines. Most recently, the facility celebrated the rebuild of its 100th gas compression engine.
The 100th engine was a Cat G3516B, owned by Repsol, a global multi-energy company that is leading the energy transition with its ambition of achieving zero net emissions by 2050. Repsol has now completed 17 gas compression engine rebuilds with Cleveland Brothers since the facility opened.

Engine Rebuild Expertise
Cleveland Brothers has been rebuilding gas compression engines for over 50 years. The company follows a detailed process to ensure customers receive a fast turnover throughout the rebuild process. Engines received at the facility are disassembled down to the bare block, inspected and rebuilt. Capabilities include rebuilding to a true Cat zero hour engine, or another custom rebuild, following Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
The state-of-the-art facility allows the components within the engine to be precisely machined and resurfaced using CAM and Dynamic Balancing capabilities for maximum engine block and crankshaft reusability on site. Featured at the ERC are two large horsepower gas engine dynos that are used for testing each gas engine model under full load. All processes are performed by highly trained technicians and backed by strict adherence to OEM inspection and guidelines to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.
