(roughly 20 fully loaded railcars) of tractive effort with a single coupler. Its non-weight transfer design strengthens performance, allowing an easy, secure connection between mover and cargo.
The system is constructed with a rubber tire drive system and wide-range AAR sliding couplers that provide operators with smooth track operation. With its hydraulically positioned, direct-type coupling style and reduced shock loading, the Shuttlewagon SWX420 improves upon the older style pivot couplers by providing more strength and increased range of movement, enabling movers to push and pull through more restrictive areas.
