Cleveland Brothers Congratulates Cat® National Campaign Promotion Winner
When Thomas Dowler first heard the news that he was the winner of a promotion he had entered as part of a Cat® national quarterly program on wear parts, his first reaction was that of pure shock. “I was very, very much surprised,” he said.
Dowler, a Cat equipment operator working for a Cleveland Brothers’ customer, has been in the industry since getting out of the U.S. Marine Corps in 2005. He was delighted with his winnings, which consisted of a Cat toolbox, valued at $4,500, and a $500 Cat Commercial Account Card. To top it off, he had a special delivery of his big prize. Rick Hoose, Cleveland Brothers parts and service sales manager, met Dowler so that he could hand deliver the toolbox from Caterpillar.
“The toolbox was very nice, even a lot nicer than I expected,” Dowler said. “It was great that he [Hoose] delivered it. He’s a great guy.”
After 10 years in the industry, Dowler has had a lot of experience with many different types of Cat equipment, including skid steers, knuckle boom loaders, bulldozers, track loaders, motor graders, rollers and more.
“The thing that most stands out in my mind with a piece of Cat equipment would be the D5 I ran when I was logging. It was able to pull not only a Cat 535 skidder out of being stuck up to the belly pan, but also the grapple load of wood that was with it,” he said. It’s that “dependability day in and day out” that Dowler likes best about running Cat equipment.
And, as a national program winner, he can now add a Cat toolbox to his ever-growing list of dependable Cat products.
