Runners, volunteers and staff of the 2016 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon all have one thing in common with Cleveland Brothers — power.

To get through the 13.1 or 26.2 miles, runners need power.

To run the start and finish line areas and medical tents, volunteers and staff need power.

To help make the 8th consecutive Pittsburgh Marathon a success, Cleveland Brothers has to supply power.

And supply power, we did. Cleveland Brothers was proud to again be the exclusive power provider of the Pittsburgh Marathon. With thousands coming to the downtown area for the weekend, it was imperative that all important areas, like the start and finish line and medical tent, had full power and other essential pieces of equipment.

A total of 15 generators supplied power, seven lifts gave photographers a bird’s eye view of the race and air conditioning units and heaters provided temperature control on race weekend.

Overall, it was a victorious weekend for all. Despite a rainy race day for the full and half marathons on Sunday, May 1, it didn’t stop both runners and spectators from coming out to take part in the action.

In fact, the numbers from this year’s marathon are impressive — 18,240 runners in the full and half marathon, 1,219 relay teams, 49 states represented, 12 countries represented and 13 neighborhoods covered. Talk about a powerful representation of runners!
